We knew Dasha was the right doula for us since our initial interview. Her deep knowledge, passion for childbirth, and genuine support for all types of birth plans immediately stood out during that conversation. We wanted a less medicalized, vaginal birth, and she went above and beyond to support us towards this goal.
Her childbirth education classes were truly exceptional. She explained every stage of labor in clear detail and shared both conventional and natural tools for pregnancy and birth. Throughout my pregnancy, she often checked in to provide reassurance and share tips to prepare for labor.
When our baby was past the due date, Dasha was our calm anchor. The night before our induction at 41.5 weeks, she spent time on the phone walking us through what to expect and methods to encourage spontaneous labor. As first-time parents, that conversation helped us feel informed, confident, and less anxious going in.
During labor, her experience and warmth shined through. She moved me through different labor positions, kept me comfortable with warm compresses, ensured I stayed hydrated, and offered encouraging words through every contraction. I was most fearful about the epidural, and her coaching and positive words made all the difference in getting through that procedure. Equally as important, she was there for my husband, giving him emotional support and advice as we navigate the birth experience together.
My husband and I know that our positive and empowering birth experience was thanks in large part to Dasha. We wholeheartedly recommend her to any expecting family looking for a skilled, caring, and truly dedicated doula.
