Shannon was such an amazing doula and made my birth experience so rewarding! I really wanted to try having an unmedicated birth for my second kid after having a lot of interventions with my first kid’s birth. I didn’t know if I could and was definitely feeling pushed in that direction. Thankfully, I got in touch with Shannon and she really helped me feel like I could do it and was so great about providing resources and support.
She immediately made me feel seen, heard, and understood and was able to meet me where I was. She went through everything with so much thought, care, and genuine enthusiasm. I learned SO much about my options, my rights as a mother, and about my own capacity. She was always available to answer my questions, talk through any concerns, and to offer wise advice.
During delivery, she was by my side the whole time encouraging me and making the environment feel calm, comfortable, and secure. She was my biggest advocate and supporter. I still can’t believe I had an unmedicated birth this time around. I couldn’t have done it without her!
