Shannon was my doula for both of my pregnancies, and she was wonderful. She created my birth plan with me, gave me feedback, kindly offered support structures I hadn't thought of, and kept me calm when gestational diabetes and other challenges came up. When I was rushing or taking steps that were contrary to my birth plan, she gently reminded me of my goals and kept my head in the right place. During labor, she was hands on, tried different things, was reassuring, and very supportive of all my choices. When she arrived, I felt genuine relief that she was there - I knew she had my back!
