This was our first child and first Doula service and I'm so thankful we found Shaina. The experience and services we received from her were phenomenal and she took care of us thru every step of the pregnancy. All of our scheduled meetings with her (outside of the hospital/delivery) where in-person; something we didn't find from other Doula services (almost all others did Zoom calls only). It is a huge relief when you meet your Doula beforehand in-person so that when the time came for the delivery, it didn't feel like a total stranger was showing up and meeting us in-person for the first time at the hospital. On top of all this, she came in extremely clutch during the delivery in the hospital. The nurses where adamant on forcing my wife to break her water unnaturally to initiate the delivery. As an alternative, Shaina spent the entire night doing multiple stretches and exercises with my wife in the hospital, working with her to naturally dilate instead. The stretches and effort from Shaina all worked out and my wife's water broke naturally. I firmly believe if she wasn't there with us, everything would have been chaos and we wouldn't have been able to do things as natural as we wanted, especially given the fact that we had no idea what stretches or movements would help. Not to mention she helped push back on the nurses who where trying to really pressure us into things we didn't want. Her vast knowledge and experience with deliveries and pregnancy was so valuable for our experience as well. Thank you Shaina! Everything I wrote above was only a fraction of all the services you provided: You go above and beyond with your work and I don't know what we would have done without you. We will be using her again for our second child.
