Cannot find the words to express how grateful I am to have had Mariette by my side for the birth of my first child. From the initial phone call, the in person meetings, and the 24 hours at the hospital, she was a ball of knowledge and calmness my husband and I clung to. We truly do not understand how first time parents go through labor and delivery without a doula. Mariette was the face I looked to during labor to ensure everything was okay or get the reassurance that what the medical staff was saying, was the right call. She’s calm, kind, energetic and direct when needed, thoughtful and the perfect ally. She worked effortlessly with the medical staff to ensure my wants and wishes were considered and met when possible and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to be in the room as my son was born. She also took photos of the raw moments as we welcomed our son into the world, which I will forever cherish. Would recommend her to all my family and friends that are expecting or hope to in the future.
