I had a wonderful experience with Amy. It was my first child and I really didn't know what to expect (despite ALL the reserach you can do). More than being just reassuring she was incredibly helpful in assessing real risks (pros and cons) associated with all the options. I had many friends were induced early before DD, and I really didn't want that. Amy, my husband and I looked deeply into the most recent research on the reason my OB was giving (big baby and possible shoulder dystocia) for wanting an induction. That deep knowledge and experience convinced me that despite pressure to induce we were going to wait longer. It was the RIGHT decision. Amy has done hundred of births. She has seen it all; that is worth its weight in gold. I ended up having a fast, non-induced labor and Amy was firmly there for me when I needed her. We had a very big, healthy baby girl with no tearing and no complications. Thank you Amy. From the bottom of my heart you were a rock.
