As a first time mom and at 36 years old, I had very specific goals in mind. I wanted to have a positive birth experience (who doesn't) but I did my research and decided to hire a doula and give birth at a birth center naturally. As a single mom, I was a little nervous because I wasn't going to have a partner in the room. I also don't have a lot of family, so it was very isolating and lonely. I ended up giving birth to my daughter with my midwife and Katherine and I don't think it could've gone better than it did. She was everything that I needed at the moment. Whether that be low back pressure reliever, Making sure I stayed hydrated, being on top of the playlist and messaging people that I was wanting to stay in contact with. She held my hand and helped me focus on my breathing. I couldn't be more grateful or recommend her more. Also, she got amazing pictures and videos per my request And they're amazing and I'm so grateful.
