Sarah was the perfect doula for my partner and I. After interviewing a number of doulas, we felt such an immediate connection with her that we knew she was the right match. She was there for me during every stage of pregnancy - helping me through some stressful moments with encouraging words and practical recommendations. She helped us through the decision to move forward with an induction. Providing guidance for how to ask the right questions and support but always encouraging us to make the choice that was right for us. Once I was in labor, her support was invaluable. She worked together seamlessly with the rest of our providers. Our baby was in a non-optimal position and I was in awe watching Sarah strategize with the midwife on how to get baby in to a better position. Sarah advocated for us in every decision we had to make throughout the birthing process. Helping to make sure we felt confident and empowered in each decision. She supported me and my partner from start to finish with grace, calm, and understanding. Her support postpartum has been wonderful as well. Checking in periodically, offering words of encouragement and get us connected with a wonderful lactation consultant. I'll always remember her role in bringing our first baby in to the world and will be forever grateful for the support she gave. It's such an intimate setting to invite someone in to and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sarah to any person expecting a little one - we are already planning to call her up for baby number two when the time comes :)
