Our time with Ashley began near the end of pregnancy when we were wrapping up any final bits to ensure we were ready for birth and early postpartum.
Ashley came eager to support us with many questions of our hopes and goals. We really felt this experience was ours and we had extra hands to help guide us along our path, ensuring that we had our questions answered and supports in place.
Pre and post birth Ashley provided ceremony which really helped to ground us in the experience. With Ashley's grounded, intuitive and caring energy, we felt effectively held as we moved through this transitional time.
Our labour was a few days long and Ashley supported us every step of the way. My partner felt supported while he supported me. This was so invaluable.
Looking back a few months post partum now, we feel we may have benefitted from more time with Ashley on both ends of birth, they were that helpful.
The process would have been significantly more challenging without our Doulas, we are forever grateful.
