Sarah was an absolute angel. My partner and I went back and forth for a while about whether to hire a doula, and I’m so thankful we did. Sarah came highly recommended by a friend and her partner, who both had great things to say about their experience.
From our very first meeting, I knew Sarah was the right fit. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and approachable. Right from the start, she was communicative, punctual, and organized. During our prenatal visits, she brought helpful information and resources—and honestly, I learned more from her than I did in all my OB appointments combined and immediately felt less anxious. She took the time to understand our preferences, answer our questions, and help us feel prepared.
When it was time to go to the hospital, Sarah was by our side every step of the way. She guided us through everything being thrown at us and helped us stay grounded through the chaos. Her presence was both reassuring and comforting.
My labor was long, and I was especially grateful for Sarah during the overnight stretch. She was right there at my bedside every time a nurse or doctor came in. She was attentive to the little things—offering water or juice before I even realized I needed it—and incredibly helpful with breath work, positioning, and keeping my partner involved. Because she was there, we were both able to get some much needed rest.
Even though we hadn’t known her long, having Sarah there during one of the most intimate and vulnerable moments of our lives felt completely natural. We haven’t decided if we’ll have another baby, but if we do, we know we’ll want Sarah with us again!
