I was recommended to see Jena for doula services by my therapist. Upon meeting Jena, I felt a quick connection as she took the time to meet with me at a coffee shop for our introductory meeting. She was open in sharing her story and journey in her experiences as a doula, and took the time to get to know me, my values, and my hopes for my pregnancy and birth. Jena worked with my husband and I, educating us on birth plan options and alternatives. During my labor, she guided my husband through early labor to help me ease into the experience. I had decided to labor at home for as long as I could, she came to my home and continued to share her tools and comfort into active labor. Once at the hospital, she was my advocate and encouraged me to make decisions that aligned with my values. I felt empowered and confident through my pregnancy, labor, and birth. I was so grateful to have the experience I did, and Jena has continued to support me and check in on how I am post partum.
