I was thinking about hiring a doula for my first pregnancy and took a chance on Eli. She was very flexible with scheduling a virtual consultation, and I could immediately tell that she was calm, kind, intelligent, and proactive. Exactly what I needed. She was highly responsive and we quickly scheduled our two prenatal visits.
Eli helped me create and feel confident in my birth plan. She recommended classes, books, and resources that prepared me for birth. She led my husband and I through a personalized, hands-on labor prep session that was immensely helpful because I ended up going into labor early (the next day!). Her tips allowed me to deliver exactly the way I want to. She showed my husband how to apply counter-pressure and massage, which he used all throughout the process. Although I lived an hour away, she was very available to me, and she made it to the hospital with plenty of time. I learned a lot from Eli, and her advice completely changed my postpartum experience (which had not been going so well).
