Having Cassie as a part of my pregnancy and labor was one of my best decisions I could have ever made. Cassie was ALWAYS there for me through any pregnancy anxiety I had - just a text or FaceTime away. She got to know my husband and I on a personal level before my labor and it made all the difference in how safe we both felt as first time parents. During labor Cassie was extremely helpful in suggesting what to do as far as positioning and breathing and my partner credits her for helping him feel comfortable in an unfamiliar setting and giving ideas on how he could help me. It made the whole birth experience so positive for both of us. When I was wanting to deviate from my original birth plan she slowed me down, grounded me and encouraged me to push through a few more contractions before making that decision and it helped me leave with no regrets of my labor! She really integrated with the hospital birth team, her advocacy was gentle and kind. Once on the postpartum unit she stayed to make sure we felt comfortable and taken care of before leaving. I cannot imagine how exhausting it must have been to support through such a long labor but she never once let that show.
On top of her stellar soft skills, advocacy and professionalism, I would also consider her a friend and will absolutely hire her for support if we have another child.
