She also helped me navigate some incredibly tough decisions during labor. She never pushed. She stood with me, informed me, and didn’t stop until I felt truly comfortable. I didn’t have a partner in the room — but I had Elizabeth. And that made all the difference.
After birth, she continued to show up. She helped me step into this new role as a mother, answering the next million questions and reminding me I was doing better than I thought. We even shared a meal together, and she gently reminded me, “It’s going to get better.” And it did.
She wasn’t just my doula. She was my village when I didn’t have one. Every single mother deserves an Elizabeth.
