Going into pregnancy, I never knew the role or purpose of a doula. I later was informed their purpose. I had the pleasure of having an amazing Doula! Kyra was there for me every step of the way. From educating me, to making me comfortable, to planning out my birth plan. She even showed me a few exercises to do to get my body ready for delivery. What I admired most while in labor was, she entered the room with affirmations! What an amazing thing. I knew then, okay.. You can do this. She was very supportive of me. She made me realize that I was in control of my choices for delivery and it's okay to put myself first to make sure I was comfortable during labor. She sat with us during recovery and the days after. I received home visits and text messages after delivery to make sure we were okay. 10/10 for sure!!! She's soooooo amazing!!! I recommend you get to know her for yourself.
