Testimonial for Kimberly Munoz
My testimonial is long overdue. I'm out of the 4th trimester and feeling like I have a sense of some "routine" with my baby, who was born on 3/20/25 wtih Kim's help. Here's my story. I gave birth to my first baby in June 2019 via c-section. It was my first time, and had a healthy pregnancy, and didn't know any better than just to follow my OB's orders. I was induced at 40w3d because there was no sign of my baby and ended up havign a c-section. Fast forward to July 2024 when I found out I was pregnant with my second baby, and with a new head on my shoulders, I wanted to do things different, and hoped for a natural delivery. I was referred to Kim, and after speaking to her over the phone and sharing my hope of having a VBAC, which she reassured me was possible, I decided to have her as my doula, (zero REGRETS!). We talked about my birth plan and how she could support me, and I felt so comfortable. She always had an answer to my questions, and made me feel extremely comfortable, it's like we had been friends for years. As we got closer to my due date, she was always on call, answering my calls/texts promptly. She gave me many GREAT pointers on how to prepare my body for labor and delivery, physically and mentally, and I was so thankful that I had her as a resource. When I began with mild contractions I called her and we spent 2 hrs on the phone assessing if it was time to head to the hopsital. When it became clear I was in active labor and needed to go to the hospital, she grabbed her stuff and headed out as well. As my husband drove me to the hospital, she even stayed on the phone with me coaching me through each contraction. I was in labor for about 19 hrs, and Kim never left my side, always giving me, (and my husband) what I needed, including massages to ease the pain, words of encouragement, and even had a dancing party in the room. I had a successful VBAC, and could not have done it without Kim. She is simply the BEST, and would 1000% recommend her.
