We were so lucky as a family to have Robin as our support partner through the early days of newborn life. Robin provided emotional support and check-ins during the later stage of pregnancy through delivery. When we had potential complications, she provided support by offering an open line of communication if needed. Robin is a great thought partner to bounce ideas and comments back and forth with - for example when we were figuring out lactation support or figuring out reflux issues!
We coordinated two nights a week for 4 weeks for night support. These were such a gift for my husband and I. He was rested to manage our son and household responsibilities while I was energized enough to join them for breakfasts! Baby girl was in good hands while I rested - usually 2-3 hour windows uninterrupted. Having someone to help with the burps, diapers, sleep even just a couple of times made a huge difference in how I could show up the next day.
