There are people who walk into your life at just the right moment, and you know—without a doubt—that God placed them there for a reason. Our doula is one of those rare and beautiful souls. She walked with us, cried with us, prayed with us, and celebrated with us through two of the most life-changing experiences of our lives.
From the very beginning, we felt something special about her. She didn’t just support us—she saw us. There was something sacred about the shared understanding between them—of what it means to be raised in a Caribbean household, to carry culture and family and faith deep in your bones. That connection brought a comfort my wife couldn’t have found anywhere else. It gave her strength, peace, and a safe space to truly be herself during a time when vulnerability is at its peak.
As a Jamaican man, I saw how beautifully our doula embraced both of our worlds. She honored our stories, our traditions, our languages, and our dreams for our family. She became a part of us—offering wisdom that was ancestral, love that was unconditional, and support that was unwavering.
She held our hands during moments of fear and uncertainty. She uplifted my wife with powerful affirmations, gentle care, and a voice that brought calm in the chaos. She showed up—not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually—in ways that we will never forget. Her prayers, her energy, her compassion… it was like having a guardian angel walking beside us the whole way.
