After having Jessie as a doula, I don’t want to imagine a birth experience without her/a doula. Everyone should have a doula, and the lucky ones will get Jessie. She is a wealth of knowledge from prenatal to postnatal and answers every question with great detail and never seems to be in a rush- takes her time with you leading up to the birth and at the birth, she’s in it for the long run and my birth was a lonnggg run.
She put me at ease and didn’t leave our side even during the quiet slow moments in the middle of the night. It was a great comfort to have her. She helped prepare us and get us thinking about the next plan of attack as baby was taking a long time to come out.
My birth ended up being very far from the intended birth plan, but it remained calm and I have great memories of it all largely because of Jessie. Those fond memories set me up for a nice postpartum experience. Thank you!
