We used Katherine for our second baby and she was amazing! She was industrious. She managed to get so much done while she was here that we could feel her support the next day. One of our top priorities was food and Katherine made sure that we were fed, hydrated, and set up with a few more meals and snacks by the end of the shift. We shared some recipes or she would cook up something delicious from her collection.
She lent us products. Belly bands, flange sizing, even a scale when we were navigating the end of triple feeding. These postpartum items were so helpful, but not necessarily things that I would’ve bought on my own.
She recommended various providers as our needs evolved: tongue tie evaluation, lactation consultants, craniosacral therapy as well as massage therapists and meal solutions for us to try!
All this on top of the important support that doulas provide - checking in on physical recovery, emotional support, bottle cleaning, light housework, and baby care/play. We are so happy we worked with a postpartum doula and we were so lucky to find Katherine! We had a fantastic experience with Katherine and highly recommend her!
