Katharine is incredible! She did a great job commanding the space and making it feel comfortable and safe for us by adjusting the lighting, the bed, the pillows, etc. She is an incredible coach and it’s thanks to her that I was able to labor unmedicated for 24 hours before switching to an epidural due to complications. She provided wonderful physical support and made space for my husband to step in and support me. She also made me feel safe and helped me process my feelings when things didn’t go as planned. It was extremely helpful to have her liaise with the doctors, to bounce ideas off of when the doctors wanted action, and to provide additional context for why we might need interventions. Katharine is so knowledgeable and she pairs that with such gentleness, joy, and kindness; she is truly amazing and we couldn’t have done this without her!
