We are so glad we chose to work with Rebekkah and Amber for this our first pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Especially going through all of this for the first time it was huge to us to be able to get their experienced and informed opinions on all the “is this normal?” questions, follow their recommendations to find other great local care providers when needed, make informed decisions, and prepare well in all the ways for the birth and postpartum. I really appreciated the opportunities they gave to get to know them so that I didn’t feel like I was heading into labor with a stranger. My hope was to have a natural, physiological, unmedicated birth, and with their help, the help of my husband, and God’s grace I was able to achieve that! Amber was the one on call for my labor and delivery, and she was great! We would have been lost without her. She helped us navigate the early labor, know when to try to rest, when to change things up to try to move things along, and when to go to the hospital. She was the perfect balance of encouraging and supportive without being pushy or annoying. There is so much these days with hospital standard practices etc. that unnecessarily interferes with the natural process and often does not promote the health of mom and baby, I felt so much more confident heading into the labor and delivery knowing that Amber or Rebekkah would be there to help us navigate any complications that might arise. Thankfully I had a pretty uneventful labor and delivery – I think a good deal of credit for that goes to feeling well prepared and supported. Thank you, Amber and Rebekkah!
