I honestly don’t know how I would’ve made it through those early postpartum weeks without Bonnie. She was such a steady, supportive presence during a really vulnerable time — kind, calm, and full of empathy. She just got it — probably because she’s a mom of three herself and brings that lived experience to everything she does.
Bonnie is basically a cross between a fairy godmother and Mary Poppins. She showed up with this calm confidence, knew exactly what needed to be done (often before I even realized it), and took care of both me and the baby with so much love and care.
One of the things I appreciated most was how thoughtful and knowledgeable she was about food and nutrition. I have some specific health concerns, and she always made sure I had nourishing, delicious things to eat — from egg bites and muffins to energy bites and comforting meals. She’s an incredible cook (she can make anything!) and kept me fueled in the most intentional, supportive way.
She was also so sweet with the baby and just naturally warm and nurturing. Having her around gave me the space and support I needed to truly rest, heal, and settle into new motherhood. I felt completely cared for — not just as a mom, but as a person. I’m beyond grateful for her. If you’re considering a doula, trust me — Bonnie is the one you want by your side!
