As a 40+ first time mom, and an IVF pregnancy, from the very beginning my doctors were telling me to induce at 39 weeks—despite perfect stats and development. With Krishyon’s help I felt confident enough to trust my body (while understanding the risks) and we went into labor naturally at 41 weeks. She was there coaching us throughout early labor and into real labor, she stayed with us to help us interface with the midwives and nurses, she was ready with ice packs and massage and encouragement, and then guidance and kindness when plans had to change. She had prepared us for breastfeeding by meeting with us several times before the birth, so much so that when we were discharged from the hospital they said they had never seen a breastfed baby regain weight so well. In her role as post-partum doula and lactation consultant she’s been crucial to this baby’s development. When our too-aggressive sleep training led to the baby falling off her growth curve, and my milk supply plummeted, Krishyon helped us get back on track, with weighed feeds and advice, based on her years of world-wide expertise. My supply is back and baby is growing the way she needs to be, because of Krishyon’s support.
