I had the immense privilege of having Renee as my doula through my pregnancy & for the birth of my daughter, and I cannot imagine going through that experience without her.
Renee arrived at my home when contractions were picking up, and from the moment she walked in, her calm and grounded presence made me feel safe and supported. We decided to stay home as long as possible since I wanted to avoid interventions, and Renee stayed with me every step of the way—coaching me through contractions, helping me manage the pain, and creating a peaceful environment that allowed me to labor confidently at home.
She guided me through 22 hours of labor, and was a steady, reassuring presence even when the circumstances became complicated. As my labor progressed into the night and ultimately required interventions I never dreamed of, Renee remained by my side, advocating for my needs, reminding me of my strength, and making sure I never felt alone.
When my daughter was born in distress and taken to the NICU, Renee stayed with me while my husband went with our baby. Even as I was being treated for complications and unable to move, she never let go of my hand and she pushed the nurses to explain every detail and question about our daughter in simple terms as I was in such shock and utterly exhausted. She even helped me begin hand expression so I could send colostrum to the NICU and feel connected to my baby in those early hours. She was a constant source of love, support and information in those blurry postpartum weeks.
Her compassion, expertise, and devotion carried me through one of the most intense and transformative experiences of my life. I am forever grateful to her. If you’re looking for a doula who will be by your side with strength, empathy, and deep knowledge, there just is no better answer than Renee. We love her dearly!!
