Dana worked with me during my first pregnancy and I honestly wouldn't have gotten through labor without her. I am not a confrontational person and was concerned that the doctors/hospital staff were going to try to talk me out of things that I wanted in my birth plan - Dana gave me the confidence to be able to speak up and make sure that what I was able to have the kind of birth I wanted. My labor turned into many hours of pain but Dana held me and supported my husband and I through an unmedicated birth in the hospital. Throughout my pregnancy she provided me with endless resources and support, making sure that all my decisions were well thought out and well informed. Postpartum she helped with some of the feelings I was having around being a first time mom and her postpartum visit helped me gained some more confidence that I wasn't a complete failure. If I ever decide to have another baby, Dana will be my first call.
