I interviewed a number of doulas before finding Jet City Doulas - none of them felt like the right fit and I started to wonder if doula support was right for me. That changed when I met Jen, Mariah, and Katie - I made the decision to hire them before our interview call had ended, and it was the best decision I made during my pregnancy. Jet City are different from other doulas I had talked to - their support during labor was invaluable, but they offer so much more than that. The classes (e.g. breastfeeding 101) were incredibly helpful, and I have referred back to the materials often in the first few weeks of parenting. Jen's lactation consulting support before and after birth ensured I was prepared and confident feeding my baby. Katie, Mariah, and Jen each spent so much time with us pre and post birth and each provided unique and helpful insights, from labor preparation to birth plan development to answering our many questions in the initial days and weeks of parenthood. They helped us navigate some unexpected complications leading up to birth, made me feel calmer, more confident, and better informed during labor, and were always a text or a call away if we needed them. I felt so well supported every step of the way. I can't thank them enough and would recommend them to anyone!
