Where to start… After my first birth resulted in an unplanned c-section, I knew that my goal for my second birth was to have a vbac. In order to do this, I knew that I would need more support during my pregnancy and labor journey.. Enter Renée!
From the first time I spoke with Renee, I knew that she would be the one to help me through this journey. Renee spent extensive time with me and my husband throughout our pregnancy. She became a part of our life and gave me support emotionally whenever I doubted the process. Renee gave me so many resources that helped me to create a support team that included midwives, pelvic floor, acupuncture, and chiropractic services.
My birth experience was everything that I wanted it to be because of Renee. Not only was she a rock for myself, she was also a key support person for my husband. She helped to ensure that he was prepared to support me while laboring at home and eventually at the hospital. Renee met us at the hospital, where I arrived at 6cm. The baby wasn’t in an ideal position, but Renée was able to coach me through different laboring positions to help my body to quickly progress through labor. Without having Renée with me, I don’t think I would have been able to manage the pain of an unmedicated birth.
Renee brought a positivity to us throughout our time with her at the hospital. She ensured I felt supported and that my birth wishes were honored. We are so grateful for all that she did for us.
Renee also spent time with us postpartum at our home, which was wonderful. She helped to ensure that our daughter was latching appropriately while breastfeeding and just overall was a positive light as we recalled the birthing experience. Anytime one of my friends tells me they’re pregnant, I now tell them that they have to use Renee’s services in some capacity!
