My husband was uncertain of my decision to hire a Duola. However, after a less than favorable birthing experience, neither of us could imagine if she hadn’t been there.
In her prenatal visits, Jessica offers a plethora of information and tools to assist you with your birthing experience. My advice: use all of them - they are gold! When my “due date” was approaching and then had passed, she provided sound advice and perspective, without judgment. All of which offered a sense of peace during a time of uncertainty. During the birth, she was a pillar of strength and encouragement through birthing challenges and difficult decisions. Her compassion extended even past the birth when she spent time with me while my husband and our daughter were away in the NICU. To wrap up the whole experience, she came to our home a week or so after the birth to check in, offer (more) helpful information, and bring us homemade bone broth for recovery.
There are people that are granted the blessing of finding a god-given talent and profession, this is Jessica’s. We could ramble on and on about our appreciation and gratitude for her, but you’ll know for yourself that you made the right decision within the first few minutes of meeting her.
