I met Kathleen a couple years ago after my doula, one of the doulas in TLC Doula Group, suggested I attend their weekly new mom support group and she was almost always in office even when she wasn't hosting. In that time I got to observe Kathleen's supportive nature and passion for new parents and their babies.
When it came time to have my second child I knew that I wanted a doula again and would love to have Kathleen but finances were tight. She worked with us on that, with so much kindness and grace and we were lucky to move forward having her support.
During my pregnancy Kathleen was always available for a quick text chat or call if I had questions or concerns about what was happening with my body. She lovingly supported me through Hyperemesis Gravidarum, fainting spells, and gestational hypertension. She has so much knowledge and experience that her advice typically coincided with my doctor's. Additionally, that advice was always delivered with care and respect.
My fiancé and I were encouraged to attend she and Joli's birth classes, Rebel Birth. We made it to three before baby was born and even just half of her program left us so informed and prepared that we managed our labor together, alone, with Kathleen's full support via text. It was a beautiful, intimate experience that my partner and I felt fully confident and honored to have alone. (With the support of hospital staff)
