When we brought our baby home from the hospital, we were exhausted, overwhelmed, and more than a little panicked to be responsible for a brand new human. Luckily, Isabella came for her first visit with us the very next day. Isabella's calm confidence and knowledge was the antidote to our new parent fears. With utmost kindness, she guided us through meeting the needs of our newborn while also making sure I was also taking care of my own postpartum needs. With every visit, we felt our own confidence as baby caretakers grow.
In addition to the invaluable emotional support and baby knowledge, Isabella also helped us in practical ways each visit. She made us delicious and nutrious food, helped us stay on top of baby laundry, and was an extra set of hands for other household tasks. Our favorite was the "energy bites" she made almost every visit by our request and she even took the time to write down the recipe for us so we can keep making them ourselves.
While I can't say enough positive things about our experience with Isabella, I will end with this: She is just a really cool person to talk to and someone you don't at all mind having in your home during a vulnerable time. She has a incredible commitment to community which I admire, has a wide range of interests, and never once made us feel awkward or inadequate. We looked forward to each visit from Isabella beyond the incredible help she provided.
