Forever thankful for Shamika, I'm so glad we found her! She was an incredible source of knowledge and support throughout our pregnancy, labor and delivery. She is patient, calm and kind, answered all of our never-ending questions as first time parents, and was always available and communicative. She brought up scenarios and questions to consider that we hadn't even thought of, and made sure we had all the info to make decisions that worked best for our family.
I struggled with my breastfeeding journey and she was there every step of the way to offer support and resources. She was constantly researching, learning and looking for new ways to help me, tailored to my specific needs and it meant a lot to have her in my corner while going through some stressful/frustrating times.
On top of all that, she's a super great person, easy to talk to and she really cares for your baby. We looked forward to her postpartum visits where we would talk through everything from eating + sleeping best practices, what to expect as he grows and she even helped us cut his nails for the first time :)
We are so fortunate to have had Shamika with us those first few weeks after bringing our son home, and we cannot recommend her enough if you're looking for a doula. No matter what you need, she will be the perfect addition to help any family!
