Working with LeNay Graham was one of the best decisions I made during my pregnancy! I was curious about having a doula and after having a trusted friend recommend LeNay, my husband and I knew it was the right fit immediately! Intially we were going to have her do our prebirth work, but we loved her so much that we felt it was right to have her present during the birth. LeNay completely changed my birth experience for the better! As a first time mom, I was overwhelmed and unsure what to expect during labor. I knew I wanted to try to have a natural birth but wasnt sure how or if I could do it. LeNay helped me prepare mentally and physically the months leading up to labor that gave me the confidence and reassurance that my body was made for this, and helped educate and plan for all of our options at the hospital. I started to have peace over my labor and not live from a place of fear. I truly hoped that I could feel empower during labor. The day came that my water broke and then my labor started at home, and quickly intensified, LeNay was on the phone with my husband guiding and leading him to help with different positions that would help progress my baby downward. She helped me breath and helped us navigate active labor through the phone call. My husband and I both felt so supported in the process because LeNay was right there with us helping us make decisions moment by moment. Once we arrived at the hospital, I was 8-9cm dilated and LeNay arrived and immediately was a comfort and joy in the delivery room! I pushed for around an hour while Lenay guided me into different positions. This baby came fast and I felt so in control of my body and empowered just as I had hoped for all along! Because of LeNay, I look back on my birth with so much peace and gratitude. I felt strong, supported and never alone in the process. Lenay is exceptional and so worth it! I cant recommend her enough for anyone looking for gently, wise and steady presence during your birth.
