We can’t believe it’s been over 19 months since our little boy was born and that it has taken so long for us to write this much deserved review for Michelle. We found Michelle through searching online and interviewed a few doulas in our process. Once we met Michelle, we knew we had found the right match and now a year plus on, we still think back with gratitude and fondness for having Michelle alongside during our birth experience. Michelle was such a perfect presence at the hospital with us. She has a gentle, fun and comforting way about her, and knew when to give us space to be in our moments while also being present when we needed her comforting words. Michelle’s confidence and experience were so helpful to ensure we understood each step of the process. We did a weekend prenatal course in addition. You are taught many of these things in prenatal classes, but it’s hard to retain it all. Our pre-birth sessions with Michelle were very informative and such a lovely way to get to know each other. Looking back we’re not sure we needed the course.
Michelle has such great resources to share and was always available by message or phone when we needed her. She even shared some great recipes. The beef bowl one we make all the time still! We also engaged Michelle as our birth photographer and we have these amazing photos that we cherish and look at all the time.
