I was so thankful to have Kylie involved in our pregnancy and birthing process! This was me and my husband's first child, and Kylie did an excellent job of proactively providing information to us to discuss so we could make the best and most informed decision when the time came. We met with Kylie early in our pregnancy which made us feel like we had a support and sounding board throughout the entire pregnancy. Kylie posed questions we had not thought about prior, such as whether to circumcise our son, what kind of medical care we were comfortable with the doctors providing to our child once he arrives (clamping the cord, certain medications, etc.), and how we felt about being induced, to name just a few. We so appreciated her asking those questions well in advance of when we needed to have an answer, as it gave us plenty of time to discuss and decide what was right for us. In addition, it encouraged me to bring questions to my OB/GYN appointments to ensure I was on the same page as my medical providers. She also provided me with tips and tutorials on breathing techniques and exercises for during pregnancy which helped me mentally and physically prepare for labor and delivery. The information she supplied often prompted me to ask further questions of my medical provider. As a result, I felt as prepared as I could during pregnancy as well as labor and delivery. During labor and delivery, Kylie was an excellent advocate for me and my husband. We often received conflicting information from medical providers (nursing had different perspectives from the doctors), and having Kylie available to discuss all the options before we made a decision brought us so much peace during the labor and delivery process. We are thankful for Kylie's expertise and support!
