As a same sex couple, each having carried and delivered a baby with Renee as our doula, we have both felt her love and guidance as the birthing person and spousal support. If you are looking for a doula, look no further! She takes her time in the prenatal meetings, getting to know what you want, guide you through questions you may have, and navigate the ups and downs that can come along the way, especially in the 3rd trimester. Renee listened to my strong desire to have a natural birth without an epidural during our prenatal sessions, and so when things got tough in labor she did exactly what I had asked, to help me manage through without moving to an epidural. However, if that is what you want, she is fully supportive as well. With Renee, not only do you get respect, but she also is fun and lighthearted, willing to laugh and joke with you. Her spirit is so open and calm that when she entered our birthing space the energy in the room shifted from a bit of anxiety and stress to peace and calm, felt not only by myself, but also my wife. Renee visits you after birth in your home and even does placenta incapsulation if desired. I cannot stress enough how vital her presence has been in both of our pregnancies & delieveries.
