I had such a great experience working with Caroline, and I’m so grateful for the support she provided throughout my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. One of the things I appreciated most was her willingness to come to my home at any point during labor—just knowing she was available and ready to be there gave me a lot of confidence and peace of mind.
Caroline was incredibly helpful in preparing me for an unmedicated birth, and even though I ultimately chose to get an epidural, one of the things that turned out to be especially valuable was the time we spent preparing for how to manage contractions. I ended up laboring at home for about 12 hours through the night before going to the hospital, and the tools and techniques Caroline taught me made that experience much more manageable. She was available to me throughout that time—texting with me regularly and checking in at intervals to make sure I was okay and feeling supported. Knowing I wasn’t alone, even in the middle of the night, made a huge difference.
One of the most thoughtful things she did after the delivery was to create a timeline of everything that happened during my labor and birth. I had mentioned that I wanted to remember the experience in a meaningful way, and she wrote a beautiful summary of the events that I’ll treasure for years to come. It was such a special and unexpected part of her care.
She also supported me during the included postpartum visit by getting my baby to take a bottle and guiding me through how to use my breast pump. I didn’t have the mental energy to figure out whether I was using the correct size of flange, etc, so having her there to walk me through it step by step made a huge difference and really took some of the stress off.
Overall, I am genuinely happy with Caroline’s services and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a warm, knowledgeable, and supportive doula.
