I truly don’t have the words to express my gratitude for the incredible support Cyrese gave us as our doula! She met with us multiple times beforehand to teach me exercises I could do daily to prep my body for the labor and delivery. She is incredibly knowledgeable and an empowering Christian presence. She even checked in weekly for how she could pray for our family, which makes me feel like she is a friend more than someone we hired. She walked with us every step of the way, long before delivery day, and showed us that she genuinely cares about the families she chooses to work with.
During my labor, she created the most peaceful and encouraging environment, giving tips when I asked of what I could do to help our baby keep moving down. She knew exactly what I needed—whether it was a reassuring word, a gentle touch, counterpressure, or simply holding space for me to breathe through my contractions. Her guidance gave me the confidence to trust my body and my instincts of when to push, etc.
She was also an amazing support for my husband! He felt nauseous at some points post-labor and she made sure to help him while the nurses were helping me. I really appreciated that she didn’t forget about him where others would have.
Because of her, from start to finish I was able to approach this birth feeling incredibly supported. We are forever grateful for Cyrese working with us. If you're looking for a doula, I cannot recommend her enough—she is a true gift to everyone’s birth journey and you will feel that too!
