Melissa was an absolute godsend throughout the preparation and birth of our second daughter. From our very first meeting, she was incredibly thoughtful and thorough—asking me so many helpful questions to get to know me, my preferences, and what I hoped for in this birth experience. Her deep knowledge and calm confidence immediately made me feel at ease.
She was always available to answer my (many!) questions over text and provided an wealth of resources and recommendations that really helped me feel informed and prepared. Melissa never missed a beat—she talked me through early labor, met us at the hospital, and stayed by our side through every important moment of labor, delivery, and even during a postpartum hemorrhage, ensuring I was safe and getting the care I needed.
Despite some unexpected complications, Melissa’s presence was grounding. She advocated for me and always made sure I felt heard, respected, and cared for. She took beautiful photos throughout the labor and birth, capturing moments we’ll cherish forever.
She also made a huge difference for my husband—guiding him on how to support me and making sure he felt confident and included in the process. Her follow-up after birth was just as thoughtful, continuing to check in and offer helpful advice and encouragement.
Even two members of the hospital staff commented that she was the best doula they’ve ever worked with—and I couldn’t agree more.
