When my wife and I found out we were having our first child we decided to get a doula to assist with having a home birth. As my wife’s main language is Spanish, we were looking for a women who spoke Spanish and English. An assistant to our midwife recommend Maria. Maria was really helpful with explaining the pregnancy and what to expect at the birth. Her input and help throughout the pregnancy and during the birth were huge. My wife was in labor for over 24hrs and Maria was very supportive and helpful. Both my wife and I felt that out of all the caregivers we had used, Maria was the most honest and sincere. We hope she decides to become a midwife in the future, as she would be awesome. My wife and I are so thankful to have had Maria as our doula, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone who is thinking of getting a doula.
