What a wild ride the first year of parenting is! Here we find ourselves, exactly one year ago to the day that Eve met us at the hospital to journey alongside us as we laboured and delivered our beautiful, strong daughter into the world. Eve helped us to feel calm, grounded and prepared in the month leading up to our daughter's arrival. We will never forget how warm and reassuring Eve's text or email check-in's were in the final weeks of pregnancy- reminders to take a deep breath, to trust our parent's intuition, and to trust everything would unfold exactly as it was meant to. Eve felt like a wise older sister, or mother, guiding us with so much love, encouragement and intention.
Eve was a wonderful addition to our birthing team- she came prepared with out birth plan, advocated for our wishes, made sure we were both taken care of, followed our lead and never wavered in her support. Her TENS machine, hip sqeezes, confident encouragement and deep presence were all helpful pieces in having a strong, empowered birth experience. We especially appreciated Eve's experience and steady presence as labour progressed through the night. Our daughter ultimately decided to be birthday buddies with Eve- a really special connection we'll always have to Eve.
In early postpartum Eve came over to visit and gifted us an adorable baby jungle animal milestone book, a journal, and a USB with our labour/delivery photos. The photos are so deeply special to us- we're grateful Eve was there to capture these life changing moments and the very beginning moments of our family. This testimonial would also feel incomplete without mentioning that Eve is a baby whisperer- our daughter slept soundly in her arms when she visited- officially making three of us that feel safe and loved in Eve's presence.
