During our prenatal visits, she took the time to understand our unique preferences without judgment and shared tools (both physical and mental) to help us achieve our ideal birth. Leading up to labor and delivery, Liza was incredibly communicative—always responsive via text and phone, checking in and answering every question. She continued that supportive communication even postpartum, which meant so much to us as new parents.
When it came time for labor and delivery, Liza was incredibly intuitive—she knew exactly what I needed, often without me having to say it, and created an environment that was calm and supportive. She also supported my husband throughout, helping him feel confident and involved. I pushed for four hours, and when the doctor wanted to use a vacuum, Liza advocated for my birth plan—ensuring I could continue without intervention in a way that was both respectful and firm with the medical team.
Liza’s empathy, knowledge, and unwavering presence made all the difference. I truly don’t think I could have done it without her, and I will definitely be hiring her again should we have a second child. If you’re looking for a doula who’s incredibly supportive, non-judgmental, and skilled at navigating both the emotional and medical aspects of birth, I can’t recommend her enough!
