Her soothing tone was reassuring and she was a great encourager throughout my long labor and strenuous pushing. it was such a relief knowing she was focused completely on listening to me and helping me achieve a safe, peaceful and successful VBAC. Particularly helpful and practical were her breathing prompts, her reminder phrases ("relax your forehead" and "rest your head on the pillow"), and the way she kept a timeline log so she could remind me when it was time to reposition again. She also did a great job of involving my husband in the labor by recommending different support strategies and relaxation techniques for him to utilize with me. I felt confident that she would help me to speak up and advocate for myself if needed. Thank you, Beth! You helped make my birth experience wonderful and memorable!
