I knew I didn't want to go through the birth experience without a doula (and don't think anyone should!) so when I got pregnant with my first son, I asked my doctor for a doula recommendation and she gave me Barbie's name. I reached out to her right away, we scheduled a meet and greet, and the rest is history! She has now been our doula throughout both of my pregnancies and if we get pregnant again, she will be the first person I call. I can't recommend her enough to anybody thinking of hiring a doula, as both of my births would've been completely different (and far more dramatic) experiences had it not been for her. She is so knowledgeable, helpful, experienced, personable, and fun! She also usually knows everybody in the hospital (and who to request in certain instances!) and the medical staff members all love her. We love her so much and have the fondest memories with her on the two best days of our lives!
