Melissa is a wonderful doula. It was our first born child that she helped us through the birthing process with. We would recommend her to any friend or family that is looking for a doula to educate and advocate for.
Her before birth meetings were educational and prepared us for the birth day. All the Body Ready Method excercises and breathing techniques really helped me prepare. Nothing was overwhelming as Melissa is a clear communicator.
Our birth was long! Melissa stayed with us the entire time and was motivating. I couldn't have asked for a better advocate. She kept me and my baby progressing through the birthing process the entire time. I wanted a natural birth at a hospital and plans changed in the last hours. Although it wasn't a "by the plan birth" I got everything I wanted and it was thanks in part to Melissa. We are so greatful for the work she did with us.
After birth Melissa was great at providing some context to our experiences and helped us with some initial parenting questions. She is truly a top notch doula that I wish everyone can have with them through their birthing process.
