I had the pleasure of using Community Doulas for delivery and postpartum. I ended up having a scheduled c section. As a first time parent, with no family locally it was very emotionally and mentally reassuring to have Melanie present for myself and partner. She helped us with latching and waited until I was ready for her to leave. Postpartum she was very helpful with her knowledge, chores, breast feeding, tummy time, meal prepping, baby wearing, and emotional support. I highly recommend reaching out to community doulas with all your questions and seeing if their services are a good fit for your needs/wants.
