So I'm the "grandmother", or as I prefer, "Gigi". I delivered my daughters drug-free with a midwife 30+ years ago. This time, one of those daughters chose natural childbirth for herself and hired Taba to assist. Quite fabulously, I was asked to be present during the birth. From my perspective, Taba was very present from the moment we all met at the hospital. She was calm and in-control, offering practical tips for mom-to-be, dad-to-be and me. She also gave a great back rub! Taba was professional at all times and extremely alert to my daughter's needs, as well as mine and my son-in-law's. She navigated the hospital and nursing staff like a pro, while occasionally injecting ideas of her own, which were always taken positively by the staff. She knows her stuff and was a huge comfort to us all thru an incredible, healthy birth. Taba took photos and videos of everything and shared them with me before the night ended. I thought she was wonderful!
