Testimonial for Shari Aizenman
I was not going to write this review and just chalk my experience up to a personality mismatch but after her last response to me, I felt I had to. Let me start by saying the worst part of your pregnancy shouldn’t be your doula team but for me it was exactly that. From the false expectations set at the initial meetings, to the uncaring/disrespectful text messages, to them making me feel like a burden for basic requests, I was so stressed about how they would be during my birth that I finally decided to forget about the 1k deposit, end the relationship, and go into this birth without a doula support system. How does Shari respond? By saying “Certainly made the end of June easier!”. For context I’m due at the end of June.
That response alone is so uncaring and inconsiderate. Confirming that her job of helping with my birth was a burden. As my husband says, that just confirms we made the right decision. I don’t know if she is just going through something right now because I know she used to be great but considering the distress this experience caused me and how hurtful she was in the end I thought other potential mothers needed to know.
