I don’t even think I have enough words to say how amazing Julie is. My labor was a difficult one, I was in labor for at least 36 hours and NOTHING went to plan but Julie made everything so much better. If it weren’t for her I probably would have had a C-section. She never push me to make a certain decision just gave me the information to make the decision for myself helping explain what was going on and what each option ment but never push one way or the other. She also made sure that I didn’t make a decision in the heat of a contraction, she waited until i was out of it and thinking clearly and went over it again with me and I sincerely appreciate that more than I could ever put into words. On top of having a difficult labor, my husband broke his foot and leg so he was not able to be as much physical support but Julie REALLY stepped in, in such a loving and caring way you forget that she’s not family. After my baby was born and taken away to the NICU she stayed with me and helped me process what just happened. And when family unexpectedly showed up she help me put myself first and let me know it’s okay not to have visitors after everything I went through and made sure i didn’t feel guilty for it! I don’t think I would want to go through another birth experience without her, seriously she saved my birth. Less of a doula more of a guardian angel
