I began my search for a doula about a week before I unexpectedly delivered my daughter and reached out to Emerald, who came highly recommended by one of the midwives. After connecting with her, Emerald suggested that I meet with other doulas to ensure we found the perfect match. However, since I went into labor just days after our conversation, we didn’t have the chance to meet with any other doulas.
On the morning I went into labor, I contacted Emerald at around 7 a.m. Even though we hadn’t completed our initial process, she took the time to guide me through laboring at home and arrived promptly at the hospital to support us during the delivery. We were incredibly grateful that she agreed to be there, especially since she had no prior commitment to us at that time.
Emerald was truly phenomenal and a blessing throughout my birthing experience. I wouldn't have changed a thing. With her assistance, along with my delivery team, I was able to achieve the outcome I desired from my birth plan. My goal was to have a natural, unmedicated birth, and I accomplished that in the best possible way.
Emerald helped me manage my breathing, which allowed me to conserve energy while maintaining a sense of calm. Her poise and positive energy made me feel comfortable and at peace throughout the process, even though it was our first time meeting. The connection I felt with her presence in the delivery room was reassuring. She made sure I was comfortable at all times, providing excellent support for both me and my partner, especially as first-time parents.
If I am fortunate enough to become a mother again, I will definitely choose Emerald as my doula. I highly recommend her services to expecting mothers, especially first-time parents. She offers a variety of services, including pre-partum, intra-partum, and post-partum care.
